"Bachelorette" contestant, Eric Hill, has died after a tragic paragliding accident. The contestant was one of the men on Andi Dorfman's season of "The Bachelorette" 2014.
RadarOnline reports April 23 that the incident happened to Hill on Sunday when he was paragliding in Utah. According to his sister, Karen, Eric died Tuesday morning in the hospital from his injuries. He was 31.
"The Bachelorette" contestant was taking part in a program called "GO with Eric"; an adventure in which he was traveling around the world in less than 1200 days. He was evidently eliminated from his gig on Dorfman's "Bachelorette" season.
As ABC News also reported, Eric Hill's parachute collapsed while he was paragliding Sunday with a friend. They added that another journey of his was called "The Global Odyssey." He was a California native and shared his last moments with family after being in a coma.
USA Today wrote that ABC has not commented on what Hill's death means for "The Bachelorette" that begins March 19. The source also noted that Eric had already visited 50 United Nations-recognized countries.
The death of this young "Bachelorlette" contestant is devastating for his family, friends, and for fans who will learn more about him when the show begins airing in May. With the show still taping, there's a huge loss felt among fellow cast members. No doubt the death of Eric Hill will overshadow any good vibes on the set today.
