Who said baby shower gifts are just for the expectant mama? Ashley Hebert presented some fabulous favors to the guests at her recent baby shower, and she has the pics to prove it. On Friday, the former “Bachelorette” star posted an Instagram pic of several pals holding luxe brown-and-white striped Henri Bendel travel bags, with the caption: “My girls went nuts for the @henribendel goodie bags at my baby shower. Love!! #totescool #getit?”
The pediatric dentist, who met future hubby J.P. Rosenbaum on the 7th season of the reality romance series, has shared every milestone of her pregnancy with her fans. On last Monday’s “Bachelor” finale, she even underwent an ultrasound on live TV. (Spoiler alert: It’s a boy!) But she couldn’t invite everyone to her shower, so the lucky few guests who did attend got the royal treatment and a $149 bag to boot.
Hebert told People that her travel-themed baby shower, held at New York City’s General Assembly was a “small, chic gathering with my closest friends and family.” And the travel theme was especially fitting. “J.P. and I have also done a ton of traveling throughout our relationship, so it only seemed appropriate since travel is such a huge part of our lives,” the mom-to-be said.
Décor for the baby bash included cake stands adorned with mini globes and toy airplanes, and a photo booth loaded with travel-themed props. And the menu featured platters of red quinoa, fava and avocado, tomato hummus, salmon tartare cones, tomato and watermelon gazpacho shooters, and a sampling of cherry cheesecake, key lime meringue and coconut almond joy éclairs.
The expectant couple, who traveled to got Thailand, Hong Kong, and Fiji during their “Bachelorette” season, have one more stop on their travel itinerary: They’re packing up their Princeton, New Jersey and moving to Florida. But they’ll have plenty of time to get the nursery ready for Baby R. Ashley isn’t due until October, and while she hasn’t dished on her baby’s name yet, she did joke that maybe he’d be named Harrison, after the “Bachelor” franchise’s longtime host.
