Over the weekend, there was some BIG ‘Bachelorette’ news! ‘Bachelorette’ Ashley Hebert & J.P. Rosenbaum got hitched! This momentous event took place in Pasadena last Saturday, December 1 & to the delight of the many ‘Bachelorette’ fans, this entire event was filmed for all to see. ABC will be televising this special event on December 16, in a 2 hour special.

Ashley told People magazine, ‘Today is all about our friend & family. It’s about standing with J.P., looking around at all the people we love in the same room there to celebrate our love.’

The couple became engaged on the ‘Bachelorette’ in August 2010 in Fiji, after Ashley rejected ‘Bachelor’ Ben Flajnik’s proposal & chose J.P. The two are currently living together in New York & have plans to start a family.

Among the 300 guests in attendance were past ‘Bachelor’ & ‘Bachelorette’ contenders, Ali Fedotowsky, Roberto, Jillian Harris, Emily Maynard, Molly & Jason Resnick, Trista & Ryan Sutter.

Host Chris Harrison will be officiating their wedding. Chris also officiated the wedding of 2 ‘Bachelor/ette’ producers, Cassie Lambert & Pete Scalettar, over the Summer. Cassie, as you may recall, was part of the controversial episode this last season of ‘Bachelorette,’ when Emily discovered that Ari Luyendyk, Jr. had once dated producer, Cassie & hid that fact from her. Clearly, they had both moved on!

Watch all the details leading up to Ashley & J.P.’s special day, as well as witnessing what seems to be a mini miracle in the land of the ‘Bachelor/Bachelorette’ engaged couple from the show actually following through & going from their televised proposal to becoming man & wife.

This is also great timing to restore our faith in the ‘Bachelor/ette’series, after hearing recent reports that 'Bachelorette' Emily’s engagement fell through. For us devoted fans, another success story was much needed, before investing our time & energy once again into the upcoming 17th Season of the ‘Bachelor,’ which premieres on ABC Monday, January 7, 2013, with Sean Lowe as the newest ‘Bachelor.’ Oh & of course, Reality Steve is already saying that Sean is engaged.
