Bachelorette 2014 Week 2 Recap: Season 10's First Dates, Kisses and Drunken Idiot
Eric Hill, 31, got the first date card and seemed genuinely excited about it. "Who knows?" he asked. "This could actually be the beginning of my fairytale."
The two drove to the beach in Andi's convertible (courtesy of ABC, of course) and hopped in a helicopter headed for Big Bear mountain, where pro snowboarder Louie Vito gave them a few pointers. The pair played in the snow all day, getting to know each other and having fun before a romantic log-cabin dinner by the lake.
There, Eric told a riveting story about traveling into war-torn Syria, but explained to Andi he would be more than willing to give up some of his more dangerous adventures when the time came to start a family. "I want kids," he told her emphatically.
Watching him with Andi, so full of life and seeming like such a sweet person, it is really hard to comprehend that he's no longer on this earth. Our sincerest thoughts go out to Eric's family, friends and Andi. The world has clearly lost a remarkable individual.
Later, 14 of the men were invited on a group date to shake their stuff for charity at an exotic male revue. The exotic male dance troupe Hollywood Men helped school the guys on what to do and what to expect.
The men were split into a firefighter group, a cowboy group, an army group and two solo routines- the aviator and the robot. Preparation involved dance instruction, spray tans, body oil and costumes; the dancing itself was quite amusing, and profitable for the charities.

Later, Andi hosted a cocktail mixer for the guys at Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyards in order to get one-on-one time with each of them. Craig, 29, got completely wasted before he even got his time with Bachelorette Andi. "Craig is annihilated," Andi laughed in a confessional.
She wasn't laughing about his disruptive behavior, though, which included jumping in the pool with his clothes on, being obnoxiously loud and even shoving one of the other guys out of his way. Still, she seemed a bit over-dramatic in her reaction.
"I can't even comprehend everything that's going on downstairs right now. Everything got very chaotic tonight, very suddenly," she said. "It just makes me wonder, am I doing the right thing being here. Something like tonight happens and you question that." (Really? Out of 19 guys placed in a bizarre situation that includes unfettered access to free booze, you're ready to throw in the towel because a grand total of ONE of them couldn't handle themselves properly? Have you met men before, Andi?)
Marcus, who had the solo aviator routine earlier and had been nervous about his performance, ended up getting the group date rose.
Later, Andi had a one-on-one with Chris at the race track. He kept calling her the "most amazing woman" on the planet, which seemed a bit of an overstatement, no matter how good she looked in that kelly-green 40s style dress. (And she did look pretty damn good.)
After Andi gave Chris the date rose, they stepped outside for a private concert by This Wild Life, and shared the first kiss of the season.
Later, during the pre-rose ceremony cocktail party, Josh M., 29, also got a kiss, likely because he was so nervous he couldn't stop rambling and Andi thought it was cute.
Then, Craig wrote a song and whipped out his acoustic guitar as an apology for his drunken behavior on the group date.
But would it save him? During The Bachelorette 2014 Week 2 rose ceremony (May 26), Andi gave her first three roses to Ron, Dylan, and JJ and her final three roses to Brian, Brett, and Bradley. This means firefighter Carl, pro golfer Nick S. and tax accountant (and enthusiastic drinker) Craig were all sent home.
Next week, two full episodes will over two nights on Sunday and Monday (June 1 and 2). According to the ABC promos, somebody gets accused of having a girlfriend and conflicts between the men begin to develop. (Yawwwn.)
