While on a promotional trip to New Zealand, dating couple Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney from The Bachelor got engaged.
Taking their relationship to the next level, the couple got engaged Tuesday, but there is no reported wedding date. However, Molly will be making the move from Milwaukee to Seattle to live near Jason and his son Tye.
How did he do it? While the couple vacationed at a lakefront hotel in Queenstown (Eichardt's Private Hotel), Jason slipped a diamond and platinum ring in Molly's glass of champagne. A camera timer was set to capture the moment.
The lovebirds had served as hosts for a special Air New Zealand Matchmaking Flight filled with singles looking to meet their match on board or overseas.
Jason proposed to Melissa Rycroft at the season finale of The Bachelor, which also took place in New Zealand. But the couple broke off their engagement at the taping of the After the Final Rose special. Viewers watched the dramatic switch-a-roo, as Melissa gave Jason back her engagement ring and Jason asked Molly for another chance at love. She nervously accepted, after having not spoken with Jason since the filming of the show.
