“Bachelor” star Juan Pablo has been through quite a bit this season of the show. He has said that English being his second language has landed him in hot water a couple of times, including when he talked about gay people being on the show. In addition, his “it’s okay” statements throughout the show has gained him some unwanted attention. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on March 7, “Bachelor” star Juan Pablo is now revealing that he endorsed a person using the r-word on Twitter.
Many people have tweeted to him, asking him to learn English since he is living here. However, he has been fighting back, saying that people should get some more experience and learn different cultures. And in this defense, he retweeted some people’s comments. “Not every r—d can read, but look at you go, little buddy!” reads the message that Juan Pablo retweeted. “You hang in there cupcake, you're f—king special to me, you're my friend, look at you smiling at your phone! You crayon eating bastard, you!”
Juan Pablo thought this message described what he thought about the various mean comments he had been getting. “JAJAJAJAJA LOVED IT...” he tweeted. That message has since been deleted. Instead, he wrote, “People, try to be HAPPY and enjoy JOKES and SARCASM…” he tweeted. “In Venezuela, the R-word is USED commonly and by NO means is to OFFEND anyone... #Relax #DifferentCulture #Respect.” He adds that “some people need to TRAVEL and get around the WORLD…”
It is fine that the word doesn’t offend anyone in Venezuela, but there are many people who are offended by the comments that he is making. While his culture may not be offended by the comment, many people in the U.S. are changing their minds about this "Bachelor" star.
What do you think about his odd comments?
