'Bachelor' Sean Lowe taking four bachelorettes on hometown dates

Bachelor Sean Lowe narrowed his field of bachelorettes from six to four on the episode of "The Bachelor" that aired on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 on the ABC Television Network. Sean cut Lesley and Tierra while in St. Croix, so the four going on hometown dates are AshLee, Catherine, Desiree and Lindsay. ABC Television Network has released advance information about the hometown dates in a Feb. 12, 2013 press release.

Update: Bachelor Sean Lowe final three bachelorettes romance in Thailand

The show will probably be much less interesting without the drama created by Tierra, but this season's villain is gone. She finally got her one-on-one date, but Sean asked her about how things were going on in the house after AshLee told him that Tierra acted differently with him than she did with the other women.

Tierra was irate and figured out that AshLee was Sean's source of information, since AshLee had the date before her. When she went back to the house she went into attack mode and an ugly scene with AshLee followed. Coincidentally, Sean walked into the house at that moment and witnessed part of the fight.

Sean just wanted to introduce Tierra to his visiting sister, who he had called in for advice. She told him that her only advice had always been not to get involved with the girl who does not get along with the other girls. Without his sister's counselling, he might not have let Tierra go, as the decision seemed genuinely painful for him. He even told Tierra that was "crazy about" her before telling her it was best that she leave.

Lesley's dismissal was more of a surprise, but of five women left standing, she was the one who did not get a rose. The four who received roses were AshLee a 32 year old personal organizer from Houston, Texas; Catherine, a 26 year old graphic designer from Seattle, Wash.; Desiree, a 26 year old bridal stylist from Los Angeles, Calif.; and Lindsay, a 24 year old substitute teacher from Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Sean crisscrosses across the U.S. to meet the families of the chosen four in the episode airing on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 (8-10 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network, according to a Feb. 12 press release from ABC Television Network.

The hometown dates are extremely important to Sean, who feels that family is a critical part of the relationship equation.

AshLee and Sean enjoy an emotional afternoon with her family in Houston. The Bachelor isn't received with open arms by all of Catherine's family in Seattle. Lindsay's intimidating father meets Sean on his turf - Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he is a two-star general. And when Sean hits Los Angeles, he is blindsided by Desiree's ex-boyfriend. The rollercoaster ride ends when he must make a gut-wrenching decision to narrow the field to three women. He believes that one of the three women will be his wife.

First, Sean travels to Houston where he meets AshLee for a romantic picnic. AshLee still has abandonment issues stemming from her background as an adopted child. She shared that she was madly in love with Sean in St. Croix, but how will her adoptive parents feel? AshLee and her father have a strong emotional connection. Sean wonders if he ever will be able to gain this man's trust.

Next, Sean travels to Seattle, where he and Catherine spend a relaxing day tooling around her hometown. He scores points with her family when he offers her grandmother a traditional greeting from the Asian culture. But not everyone is won over. Will Catherine be able to convince her mother and sisters that her feelings for Sean are for real - or will they try to scare Sean away?

The third visit is to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where Lindsay (wedding dress girl) takes him on a tour of the small town. She answers his questions about her father, a two-star general who commands the entire Army base. In order to prepare Sean for the meeting, Lindsay runs Sean through a battery of basic training drills. Sean is prepped to meet the general, but wonders if he will be welcomed into the family ranks.

The fourth and final visit is to Sherman Oaks, California, where Sean spends a day of hiking and cooking with Desiree. The date goes well until Desiree's ex-boyfriend shows up, demanding a word with her. The day becomes more when Desiree's brother insults Sean, obviously disapproving of the bachelor. As Sean heads to the rose ceremony, he still needs to decide which woman he will send home. One woman fears that he intends to cut her and she makes a final desperate move, snagging Sean for a talk. One devastated bachelorette makes a heartbreaking exit.

Sean has to make a difficult decision, but at the end of the episode he toasts the final three woman and announces that the next destination is exotic and romantic Thailand.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelor" is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss and Martin Hilton are the executive producers.
