Bachelor Sean Lowe dismisses Tierra over lack of 'maturity and social skills'

In a decision that was likely weeks overdue for many "Bachelor" fans, Sean Lowe sent Tierra LiCausi packing on Monday's episodes of the hit ABC reality dating show. While viewers have seen a rather nasty side (other "Bachelor" contestants even labelled her "Tierraist") of the 24-year-old for weeks, Sean gave her the benefit of the doubt -- even telling her he was "crazy" about her. Now he's attempting to explain his decision to send the emotional Denver native home even before the rose ceremony.

"I found Tierra crying on her bed with her head in her hands," he recalls of the time he originally went to get her for a surprise meeting with this sister. The meeting between Sean's sister and Tierra was a step he wanted to take since many of the other girls claimed she was the source of all of the drama in the house. Sean says when he found her crying (again), he realized Tierra was not the one for him. "I had already figured by this point that Tierra was not the woman I was going to marry, so when I saw how distraught she was, I knew I had to end it right then and there," Sean admits.

In a post-episode update on Sean Lowe's blog today (Tuesday), "The Bachelor" star reveals why he kept Tierra around for so long and what finally convinced him to cut her loose. "I still believe Tierra has more good in her than people see, but I also recognize that she doesn't have the maturity or social skills necessary to make it on The Bachelor," he writes. The Texas native also admits his big sister's advice helped open his eyes. "My sister's advice before I left Dallas for L.A. was to avoid the girl whom drama surrounded," Sean says.

Along with Tierra, Sean also dismissed Leslie on last night's episode of "The Bachelor."

On next week's episode of "The Bachelor" Sean Lowe takes the four remaining women home for hometown dates. He'll meet Lindsay, Catherine, Desiree and AsheLee's families before eliminating one more bachelorette.
