A bachelor party death occurred in Colorado over the weekend. On Aug. 18, CNN reported that Dirk Anderson, 29, was leaning against a window on the 11th-floor room at the Lady Luck Hotel and Casino when the screen gave way and he fell to his death. Anderson was celebrating the last few single days with his friend, the groom, when tragedy struck.
"While there was alcohol at the bachelor party, investigators said they don't know if Anderson had been drinking before his fall. There was no evidence of horseplay and it appeared to be an accident, police said" (via CNN).
The bachelor party death could have been avoided had Anderson not been leaning on the screen of the window. However, he probably didn't even think twice about what he was doing and there's no way that he thought about the screen falling out. According to the report, Anderson landed on the roof of a parking garage below. There was no way that anyone would have survived that fall.
Tragedies like this do happen and unfortunately this tragedy is really going to weigh down on the other people in the wedding including the bride and groom who were likely both good friends with Anderson.
This bachelor party death is trending nationwide today. Thoughts are being sent to everyone involved especially Anderson's loved ones.
