The current season of “The Bachelorette” is wrapping up Monday night on ABC and usually fans have a long stretch waiting until January for more rose ceremony excitement. This year is different! “Bachelor in Paradise” is the newest spin-off of “The Bachelor” and is scheduled to premiere August 4. US Weekly reported on Thursday that a couple formed on this new series actually became engaged at the end of the season.
Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul met on “Bachelor in Paradise.” They fell in love rather quickly and in the end he popped the big question. Grodd, a sports medicine manager, was the fourth runner up on Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette.” He was the first to profess his love to Andi and was devastated when she sent him home. He left saying he felt like an idiot, but he would still miss her and was still in love. He was able to let her go pretty fast and found a woman during the June taping of “Bachelor in Paradise” who feels the same way about him.
Lacy Faddoul was featured on Juan Pablo Galavis’ season of “The Bachelor.” The 26 year old nursing home owner was not given much of a chance to find love with Juan Pablo. She was sent home during the first episode of that season.
Reality Steve confirmed the engagement to the world, as well, earlier this month. Steve says the couple are still happy, together and going strong. Marcus reportedly proposed during the last episode of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
According to Steve, “Bachelor in Paradise” began filming June 4 in Tulum, Mexico and only lasted three weeks. It will be stretched out to air for seven weeks on TV. Time will tell if these two can make things work out in the real world. In the meantime, don’t miss the exciting season finale Monday night of “The Bachelorette” to see if Andi Dorfman becomes engaged to the man of her dreams. “Bachelor in Paradise” will begin airing Monday, August 4 on ABC.
