ABC has announced that “Bachelor in Paradise” will be airing this summer, and fans can't wait to dive into it. This is basically a retooling of the previous show “Bachelor Pad,” an off-shoot of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.” Who will be having fun in the sun this summer? On March 24 Marc Malkin of E! shared one little teaser that fans won't want to miss.
Jef Holm, Emily Maynard's former fiance, told Marc Malkin at the Shakira concert that he is in talks for “Bachelor in Paradise.” This probably won't come as much of a surprise to fans, as he and Arie Luyendyk Jr. had been at Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici's wedding in January, and there was surely a reason for that beyond knowing Sean a bit from “The Bachelorette.”
Word has it that Arie and Jef have had a bit of a falling out since then, so one could pretty much bet that this guarantees the two will turn up on “Bachelor in Paradise.” Will fans embrace the two of them being there? It seems pretty likely. While both have been controversial figures for the franchise at times, they both still have legions of female fans who would love to see them shirtless and on their television screens this summer.
Of course Jef saying he is in talks to be on the show doesn't guarantee anything. Those behind the show will be talking to dozens of former participants, and they will be recruiting far more people than the ultimately need. However, many have sensed that Jef has wanted back in on this franchise, and this would seem the perfect opportunity.
Who makes your dream list of participants for “Bachelor in Paradise”? There will surely be several ladies from Juan Pablo Galavis' season of “The Bachelor” along with a few guys from Andi Dorfman's season of “The Bachelorette.” The new show “Bachelor in Paradise” will debut Monday, Aug. 4 and fans can't wait to get started.
