"Bachelor Pad" has been canceled. On March 18, Wetpaint confirmed that the popular show will not be airing its third season after "The Bachelorette." Fans are super disappointed and that's not even the worst news. According to sources, the show may be canceled indefinitely... like never coming back to ABC.
The news was first "confirmed" by producer Mike Fleiss who tweeted that the show was "not happening this summer" when asked by a fan. Now, according to Wetpaint, the news has been confirmed by ABC and many fear that "Bachelor Pad" won't ever return. No more televised inter-cast hook-ups, no more backstabbing, and no more Michael Stagliano. So, so depressing.
"Bachelor Pad" being canceled definitely was not expected. The show is wildly popular and people seem to love seeing what is going on in the lives of "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" has beens. It was a way for them to stay relevant and the drama just oozed which made for great television.
And then there's the flip side. There are plenty of fans who disliked the show and couldn't care less about its return. Making "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" last any longer by giving wings to former contestants is pointless to many people. Are you sad to see "Bachelor Pad" go? Did you enjoy watching it?
"Bachelor Pad" canceled suggests that the whole franchise is in jeopardy, but that doesn't seem to be the case. "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" seem to be doing just fine in regard to ratings.
