'Bachelor' Host Chris Harrison wasn't sure Juan Pablo Galavis was the right guy

Many women may have been very happy when they heard the news that Juan Pablo Galavis was the next star of "The Bachelor." Chris Harrison, however, had some reservations. As reported by Wetpaint Entertainment on Friday, Jan. 10, Chris was initially hesitant when he found out that Juan Pablo would be the next guy to hand out the roses.

Chris cited both Juan Pablo's cultural background and the importance that he places on family as reasons for his initial concerns.

“I was hesitant in that culturally it’s a very different show with him. He's also very family-oriented and his daughter is very important to him so I was worried he wouldn’t give in to the fantasy of 'The Bachelor,'" Chris told TV Guide.

“You really have to let go and give in to the process,” Chris further explained.

Chris also hinted that things don't work out as well as they could have, saying that he's not sure “if [Juan Pablo] fully did” give in to the process.

Whoever turns out to get the final rose on "The Bachelor," let's hope that she knows how to handle her alcohol. Juan Pablo said in a recent interview that a relationship deal-breaker for him is being with someone who gets sloppy drunk. He also said that the woman he marries must love to dance, love his daughter, and be both classy and honest.
