Bachelorhost Chris Harrison has been hosting the program since the very beginning and he has been through quite the scandals on the show. There has been cheating, lying and tears and there have been contestants who have walked away from the process. But it sounds like there was nothing that could have prepared him for the negative backlash he got for casting Juan Pablo as the “Bachelor.” According to a new PEOPLE report published on March 11, “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison is now revealing that he doesn’t mind Juan Pablo, despite not getting the answers he wanted during the “After the Final Rose” special.

“I want to start off by saying I’m not mad about how the season ended nor am I angry with Juan Pablo,” Chris Harrison reveals. “For some reason I feel that there is some notion that I dislike him, and that’s just not the truth.” Of course, he points out that all of the contestants on the show come in with different cultures and backgrounds. “The other thing I’ve learned is you have to give yourself to this process or it just won’t work. You have to come in with sincere intentions and then trust and give yourself to this process, or not only will it not work, it will be a constant battle and struggle until the end. I truly believe Juan Pablo came into this season with those true intentions,” Harrison points out.

Everyone were hoping to get some answers during the finale interview, but Juan Pablo had problems expressing his happiness for Nikki. And everyone thought it was too odd, because Chris had to pull the answers out of the couple. “The interview with Juan Pablo and Nikki was just a bit odd. I know it was orchestrated by him to not say how he feels about Nikki. The only thing I can’t figure out is why? It was a rough ride for Juan Pablo this season, but the good news is…it worked! He found a great woman in Nikki and they are in love and happy. So of all things to hide I’m not sure why they chose that," he added.

Do you think Chris Harrison is right in his assumptions? Do you think the couple was rude?
