Bachelor” host Chris Harrison has been the host of the show since it first started and it sounds like he knows what works. In fact, the show has made millions and it continues to get high ratings. People who have been on the show have become close friends and it seems that single people want to be a part of the in-crowd. According to a new report published on March 4, “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison has said some interesting things about the show recently, which includes him alienating bigger people and gays from participating on the show.

It sounds like Harrison wants to protect his success, meaning only certain people can go on the show. And if you want to be on the show, you should jump on the treadmill and lose some weight. When asked if a chubby person would ever be chosen, he said, “No. You know why? Because that’s not attractive, and television is a very visual medium,” he explained. “And I know that sounds horrible to say, but I know that at 42, in the eyes of television, I’m old and unattractive. Sure, I can put a suit and tie on, but I have hair on my chest and I don’t have a 12-pack. I live a healthy life, but I don’t do eight hours in the gym, nor do I want to. And I don’t eat 50,000 egg whites.”

And this isn’t the only controversial thing he has said. He has essentially said that he won’t be putting gay people on the show, when straight couples seem to be making money In a previous interview, he said, “Look, if you’ve been making pizzas for 12 years, and you’ve made millions of dollars, and everybody loves your pizzas, and someone comes and says, ‘Hey, you should make hamburgers.’ Why?” Chris revealed. “I have a great business model, and I don’t know if hamburgers are going to sell.” He added, “I am 100 percent for equality and gay marriage.”

Do you think it is odd that he is choosing money over using the platform to spread the word about gay marriage?
