According to a January 8 report from TMZ, Lewis claims producers asked her to act like a dumb bimbo on the ABC reality show. She also revealed that it was the producers who suggested that she dye her hair from strawberry blonde to red, wear a pink dress instead of purple, and send a starstruck tweet to “Bachelor” star Juan Pablo Galavis immediately after they met, making her look desperate.

The 23-year-old interior designer told Chicago radio station B96, "My limo entrance was suggested to me by producers. And I agreed to it -- it's not that they force you to do anything. It's just that they come up with the ideas, and then you go.” (After she met the "Bachelor" star, Lewis sent a giddy Tweet about meeting him.)

In addition, Lewis was humiliated when she mistakenly walked up to accept a rose from Galavis – only to find that he hadn’t called out her name after all.

“Bachelor” host Chris Harrison recounted Lewis’s embarrassing faux pas in an interview with TV Guide. "It was horrible,” he said. “It was late and he has an accent and he whispers, so he whispers 'Kat' who is standing right behind Kylie and he looks right at Kylie, so she starts stepping forward and he's like, 'Kat.’ She was mortified. The only thing that made it worse was the fact that she didn't get a rose. So not only did she step out and get embarrassed, but she was sent home."

On his blog for People, Galavis wrote: “I HATE rose ceremonies because I hate hurting people, and I knew people were going to be hurt with my goodbyes. Things only got worse when I gave Kat a rose but Kylie started walking up toward me. Ay ay ayyyyy! I almost died because I felt so bad for Kylie. I hope someday she forgives me.”

"The Bachelor" airs on Mondays at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
