Former "Bachelor" contest Gia Allemand's funeral arrangements have been made and the reality star will be laid to rest next week according to Thursday, August 15 reports on Celebuzz.
Gia Allemand's funeral will be held at Papavero Funeral Home in Flushing, New York, just outside Allemand's hometown of Queens.
Gia Allemand's reps have revealed that at this time the funeral service for Gia is going to be private for the family, not public as some media sites have been reporting.
As previously reported the "Bachelor" contestant died on Wednesday from an apparent suicide attempt after the 29-year-old hung herself.
Speculation from some have stated that Gia Allemand's suicide is the result of her relationship issues with her boyfriend NBA player Ryan Anderson.
A source close to Gia Allemand's family stated:
“It’s been shocking. No one really saw this coming. So you can’t pin it on one thing, one situation or one person. The family is trying to figure it out."
Ryan Anderson who also found Gia Allemand hanging in her apartment released a heartbreaking statement saying:
"I'm deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends and fans,” he said. “Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile. She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared."
Gia Allemand was taken off life support University Hospital in New Orleans on Wednesday after doctors officially declared the "Bachelor" contestant brain dead.
