"Bachelor" contestant Gia Allemand dies after committing suicide by hanging. On Aug. 14 it was confirmed that Allemand had died after a loss of organ and brain function left her lifeless. Girl friends of the reality star took to their respective Twitter accounts to let everyone know just how much Gia will be missed.
"We lost an incredible human being today," tweeted former "Bachelorette" Ali Fedotowsky. "The bachelor family is amazing. So much support. All of us calling and checking on one another. We def feel like we lost a family member," tweeted "Bachelor Pad" star Michelle Money.
When a "Bachelor" contestant dies, all of the former contestants really lean on one another and that's no surprise. While the seasons of the show aren't connected, many of these people become very close friends through meet-ups, parties, and other franchise events. Many have become friends on the show "Bachelor Pad" also.
"Gia you are my angel! You changed so many lives with your beautiful soul and will be missed and loved forever," tweeted Vienna Girardi who was on the same season of "The Bachelor" as Gia."Sending my love and condolences to those that knew and loved @GiaAllemand. Deeply saddened by the loss of such a beautiful soul (sic)," tweeted Ashley Rosenbaum.
The "Bachelor" contestant died at a hospital in New Orleans. She was on life support for almost 48 hours before her family decided to remove her. Most of her friends didn't know what was going on and many feared the worst when hearing that Gia had her pastor by her side. Sadly, the worst was true. Gia -- one of the nicest, sweetest people you'd ever meet -- was gone.
