The ladies were as creative as ever when trying to get the bachelor’s attention. Some of these attempts were cute while others were just plain weird! In the end, “Bachelor” nation wonders, just who did Juan Pablo, or as he as dubbed himself "El Bachelor", send home during the premiere of “The Bachelor” 2014?

Of the original 27 bachelorettes cast for “The Bachelor” 2014, Juan Pablo sent home 10 during the first rose ceremony of season 18. Here’s the list of the ladies who were eliminated during the premiere:

Maggie – gave Juan Pablo a fishing hook as a gift because she enjoys fishing with her family.

Amy J. – massaged Juan Pablo. What were his reactions to this massage? One word: awkward!

Ashley – presented Juan Pablo with a gold star for being “The Bachelor”.

Christine – from Miami, Florida, Juan Pablo’s current hometown.

Kylie – thought her name was called at the rose ceremony and embarrassed herself when Juan Pablo said he had called Kat.

Lacy – comes from a family of large family and currently works in an adult day care center.

Lauren H. – just got out of a nasty breakup where her fiancé dumped her over the phone.

Valerie – Cowgirl, she wore boots under her gown during the premiere.

Alexis – introduced herself in Spanish.

Bachelorette contestant Sharleen, the opera singer who flew in from Germany, was the lady to receive the first impression rose for the night. She seems a bit iffy with her feelings towards Juan Pablo at this point, stating things seemed a bit “forced”. Previews for upcoming episodes show she may fall hard for the former soccer player.

“Bachelor” Juan Pablo seemed cool, funny, and a bit overwhelmed all at the same time. He danced a bit, posed in the photo booth with different women, and had one-on-one time with several of the ladies.

How do you think the 2014 “Bachelor” handled the premiere night? Did Juan Pablo do well, or did he need a bit more advice from the now engaged Sean Lowe?

Tune in next week to ABC for more “Bachelor” drama as the ladies and Juan Pablo Galavis start their “aventura” to find love.
