The hometown dates episode which aired Feb. 18 was a mixture of emotions for ABC's “Bachelor” Sean Lowe and his four bachelorettes, AshLee, Catherine, Lindsay, and one who seemed to be an early favorite of his, Desiree.
The woman he once referred to as being at the top of his list, Desiree (AKA Des) fell to the bottom of his list, and fast.
Sadly, when it came time to meet Desiree's family in a dinner date at her Los Angeles, California apartment, things unraveled quickly. While her parents were pleasant and supportive of their relationship, you could tell things were about to change.
As soon as her brother Nathan walked through the door, you could sense he had it in for Sean.
As a man who does not like to be rude to others, at least not on camera, Sean Lowe bit his tongue and took everything Nathan had to say to him with total respect.
Nathan flat out called “Bachelor” Sean Lowe a fraud and playboy.
Just before their conversation, Nathan told Desiree: "I'd be saying to myself, there's no way this would ever work out."
In a private conversation with Sean. Nate tells him: “I believe she's really into you but you're not into her. I really feel there's no reciprocation.”
Sean replies: “I'm crazy about your sister.”
Nathan quickly asks: “You're crazy about a lot if girls right?”
Visibly angry, Sean explains to Nathan: “My character and integrity are number one to me.”
Off camera, Sean says in a private interview: “I wanted to tell Nate off.”

At the end of the night, Sean sends Desiree home without a rose at their hometown dates rose ceremony. Nate's statements and his negative attitude make Sean Lowe doubt their relationship in Desiree’s family would ever be a positive, healthy one.
Do you think Sean made the right decision in sending Des home? Will he regret it as it takes off to Thailand with AshLee, Linsday, and Catherine?
