For one bachelorette, Canada was the end of the line in her journey for love.
Bachelorette Selma found herself in quite a bind. She had told Sean Lowe she couldn’t kiss him on television because it would bring shame to her family. The Muslim woman changed her mind during “The Bachelor” episode six which aired on Feb. 5.
After the group dates and one-on-one dates were done, it seems Selma was feeling a bit desperate. On the group date, she passed on the opportunity to participate in the “Lake Louise Polar Bear Plunge”.
Of all the girls on the group date, this included Tierra, Sarah, Ashlee, Lindsey, Selma, Daniella, and Lesley M., Selma was the only one to opt out of jumping into the icy Alberta, Canada waters.
For weeks, she had mentioned how important her religion was to her. Selma spoke of her Middle Eastern descent with great pride. But in a desperate attempt to get a rose from “Bachelor” Sean Lowe, she may have sealed her own fate with a brief kiss.
Selma said to the camera: “Mom please forgive me, I had to bring out the big guns.” This was right after she mentioned the kiss would bring shame to her family.

Sean Lowe is a self-professed religious man. This kiss may have fueled his decision to eliminate Selma during the rose ceremony.
Did her kiss make him doubt her commitment to her Muslim faith? Or was it just a lousy kiss? What do you think?
