Babylon Salon Spring 10

Happy 3rd birthday, Babylon Salon!

Four times a year, the cozy downstairs of Cantina becomes Babylon Salon, San Francisco's Rollicking Reading and Performance Series.

Hosted by Timothy Crandle, Timothy Ried, Laurie Ann Doyle, Maury Zeff, and Lindsay Holland, the series showcases several writers and a featured literary magazine, the editor of which then presents one of the magazine's contributors.

Writers for Spring of 2010 were Tom Barbash, Rusty Morrison, Debby Bloch, and N.A. Jong, and the magazine was San Francisco's very own Fourteen Hills. Editor Fernando Pujals was there to present Jill Tidman.

As you can see above, there was even cake to celebrate Babylon's 3rd birthday.

Always intimate, the series has that candelight vibe I like to have at Quiet Lightning. In fact, I so enjoyed my first Babylon Salon that I booked Cantina for the first QL.
