Baby stuffed in trash bag and dumped in the woods, where’s the outrage?

Where was the outrage yesterday on the story about Senior Airman Matthew Theurer who was charged with allegedly killing his baby boy and stuffing the infant’s body in a garbage bag, then dumping him in the woods?

Had Baby Theurer been a puppy, animal rights activists and puppy lovers from around the world would have expressed their venom for the accused airman with no economy of words.

And yet, a helpless infant was allegedly killed by his own father and his tiny body dumped like trash in the cold and dirty woods of North Carolina; not one person cried out. No one publically wept for an infant with no voice of his own. No one left a message of sorrow or condolence on his story.

We obviously live in a world that values the helpless and hopeless four-pawed creatures more than we do a voiceless human infant. How sad for our culture.

Senior Airman Theurer, of Seymour Johnson AFB near Goldsboro, N.C., was arrested on three charges in conjunction with his baby’s death. He was held at the Sampson County Jail in N.C., and later transferred to Air Force authorities.

Cause of death for the baby has not been released, however, Senior Airman Theurer is charged with involuntary manslaughter, negligent homicide, and child endangerment.

The child’s full name and age were not released.

Rest in peace Little Angel.
