A family dog saved a baby from crawling into the ocean at Kabak Bay in Turkey and is now being hailed as a hero according to the Huffington Post. Both baby and pooch are doing fine.
The family was relaxing at the beach as the mother played fetch with her dog. Meanwhile the curious baby began crawling towards the ocean and getting dangerously close to the water line.
As one watches the video, the dog runs up to the baby, and when she darts in front of the child lies in between the baby and the ocean. Within moments the mother came and swooped the baby up in her arms.
And if that's not enough to convince us just how wonderful our canine companions are to their human families, less than two weeks ago a family dog alerted his South Carolina family that their seven month old baby was being abused by the babysitter.
Khan, a Labrador retriever and German shepherd mix, began to show aggressive behavior towards the 21-year-old babysitter for the last few months. Ironically the dog had always been friendly and loving, and his behavior towards the babysitter aroused suspicion in the baby's parents who then hid a camera in the couch. Khan certainly was justified in his feelings towards the sitter; the video captured the young woman cursing and slapping the infant.
Check out the video of the brave little dog from Turkey protecting his tiny human. It certainly does the heart good to smile.
