A baby's hand reached out to grab a doctor's finger while a C-section was being performed on the mother, Daily Mail reports Jan. 2.
When Alicia Atkins of Glendale, Arizona gave birth to her daughter, Nevaeh, on Oct. 9, the precious moment was captured on camera by father, Randy.
Randy recalls the incident during the C-section clearly.
He said:
"The doctor called me over and said, 'Hey, she's grabbing my finger!' So I ran over there and just grabbed the shot and I was just in awe looking at it. It was such an amazing picture."
Alicia is a professional photographer and when she posted the image last week on A Classic Pin-Up's Facebook page, the image went viral. The baby literally reached out of the womb and grabbed the doctor's finger during the C-section procedure. It was one of those moments rarely seen, let alone caught on film.
Randy and Alicia Atkins had no idea they would get such a positive response. In fact, they figured people would call it "disgusting." It's a photo they will truly cherish forever.
