Baby's first kicks: Brooks Shoes for Kids

There comes a time in the first year of your kid's life where you realize that they are going to need shoes.  Not just cute baby uggs and socks that look like ballet slippers, but real, actual shoes.  With things like ankle support and hard soles.  Because believe it or not, this little creature you've been feeding an all liquid diet for the past eight months, they are going to walk someday soon.  And they are going to need shoes to do it in.

One of the best places to start looking for baby to toddler transition footwear is Brooks Shoes for Kids.  With locations in Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Brentwood and the Westside Pavilion, Brooks offers not only a great variety of inventory, but fantastic service.  The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.  They know how to measure your kid's foot and can advise you on what style will suit their developmental needs.  Some kids walk at eight months, others at eighteen... and the people at Brooks understand.  They can tell you what to buy and when.  They also keep a file on your kid, so if you are the kind of person who wants to build a relationship with a salesperson (and let's face it, this is Los Angeles where such needs are celebrated, so why not be that person?) Brooks is the place for you.

Do you need to get your kid fitted for new shoes?  Can't you just go to Payless or Target and hold the shoe up to their little foot?  Absolutely.  But if you are looking for an experience or advice, if you are anxious about your kid walking or what rain boots will keep them from falling down, I'd recommend Brooks as the place to start.
