Baby Elaina guilty: Baby Elaina mom guilty of murder, sentenced to life

A Baby Elaina guilty verdict was reached sending an Ohio mom to jail for life. On Dec. 4, The Inquisitr reported that baby Elaina's mom, Angela Steinfurth, has been convicted of murder and she will spend the rest of her life behind bars. Also convicted was Steinfurth's ex-boyfriend, Steven King II -- he was also sentenced to life in prison.

Baby Elaina's father was the one who reported the child missing. When T.J. Steinfurth showed up at Angela Steinfurth's home back in June, Angela told him that the child had gone missing from her crib during her nap.

The Baby Elaina guilty verdict came six months later. You see, Angela Steinfurth and Steven King II were initially arrested on obstruction of justice charges. It wasn't until September that authorities learned the truth about the 18-month-old's whereabouts...

"Authorities returned the property where the toddler was last seen alive. Police eventually recovered a box of human remains from the garage. As reported by the Toledo Blade, DNA testing confirmed the remains belonged to the missing toddler. An autopsy revealed Baby Elaina died of 'non-accidental trauma,' which included five fractured bones around her arms and legs," The Inquisitr reports.

Now that baby Elaina's mom is guilty, the prosecution has wrapped up their case. As for what exactly happened, prosecutors say that Angela Steinfurth threw Elaina "across the room" when the toddler would not stop crying. Afraid of getting in trouble, Steven King II decided to kill the baby and hide her body. Apparently that plan didn't work out for him...
