A baby was born after his mom was killed in a car accident in Brooklyn, New York early this morning. On March 3, the Clarion Ledger reported that Raizy Glauber, 21, was pronounced dead after being thrown from the car when another car slammed into the vehicle at an intersection. Her husband was also in the car and he was also killed.
"Both of the Glaubers were pronounced dead at hospitals, police said, and both died of blunt-force trauma, the medical examiner said. Their infant son was in serious condition, said Abraham, and the driver of their car was in stable condition, police said," the Clarion Ledger reports.
The baby that was born after its mom was killed was born premature but is expected to be okay. It is unknown who will care for the baby now that his parents are both gone. It is presumed that his grandparents will take responsibility for him. Their funerals were arranged for this afternoon.
The Glaubers were reportedly headed to an area hospital at the time of the accident but it is unclear why. Sources say that their visit was pregnancy-related but it is not believed that Raizy was in labor. According to the report, the driver and one passenger in the other vehicle fled the scene.
The baby born after his mom was killed is certainly a little miracle.
