Although Saturday night typically does not offer much viewing fare for audiences, on July 5, 2014, there are several varied options to choose from. People place bets on the accomplishments of their babies on ABC, Dog and Beth return for some bounty hunting action on CMT, and a new look at a honeymooner presumably murdered at sea takes place on CBS, according to Zap2It.

Bet on Your Baby” is hosted by Melissa Peterson, who also stars in ABC Family’s “Baby Daddy,” and features hopeful parents who attempt to predict their “toddler’s next move in an effort to win money for their child’s future education,” according to the show’s website. The fun begins at 8/7c on ABC.

On “Dog and Beth: On the Hunt,” the famous bounty hunting Chapman couple returns as they pay a visit to an old friend in Sacramento, Calif. whose son takes charge of a dangerous quest. According to the show’s website, the friend, Topo Padilla, “runs a family business with his father Greg and son Brandon – three generations of bounty hunters – just like the Chapmans.” The hunt for a “dangerous fugitive” is described as “the challenge of a lifetime.” “Dog and Beth: On the Hunt” airs Saturday nights at 9/8c on CMT.

Also tonight, “48 Hours” updates the mysterious case of the missing honeymooner, George Smith, who vanished 9 years ago today while on his Mediterranean honeymoon cruise with new wife Jennifer Hagel. Blood stains were discovered in the couple’s cabin and on the side of the ship, leading investigators to suspect the young newlywed was murdered. According to the show, his family members recently announced they are offering a $100,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of person or persons responsible for the murder of their loved one. The mystery is explored further when “48 Hours” airs at 10/9c on CBS.
