Baba Booey sweetens the deal for baseball charity auction (video)

Gary “Baba Booey” Dell’Abate, producer for The Howard Stern Show, has announced that he’s sweetening the deal for potential bidders in the charity auction for the baseball fancifully flung in his now infamous “worst first pitch” at the New York Mets game on May 9th.  In addition to receiving the ill-famed ball and the jersey Baba Booey was wearing during the ill-famed pitch, the winner of the auction on CharityBuzz.com will also get a tour of The Howard Stern Show studios and appear as a guest on The Wrap-Up Show.

As of Sunday, June 14th, the bidding for the new and improved Baba Booey Pitching Abomination Deluxe Package was up to $6,250.  The auction winner will also score a chance to meet-and-greet Robin Quivers, Artie Lange, Fred Norris and Benji “based on availability.”  The item description on CharityBuzz specifically states that the package “does NOT include a meet and greet with Howard Stern.”  Despite his wild public persona, regular listeners of The Howard Stern Show know that Howard is notoriously private when he’s off air and avoids manufactured social situations like “meet and greets” like Scott DePace and Ronnie Mund avoid colonoscopies.

The proceeds from the sale of the Baba Booey’s Flimsy Fling Baseball Extravaganza Package will benefit LifeBeat, a non-profit organization on preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS in the youth population.  Learn more about LifeBeat here.
