B.o.B. collaborator Bruno Mars, caught with cocaine

Bruno Mars, who lent vocals to B.o.B’s megahit, “Nothin’ On You,” was arrested Sunday in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the police found something on him. The soul-pop crooner, real name: Peter Hernandez, was arrested at approximately 2:40 a.m. for a controlled substance which later tested as cocaine.

This could not have come at a worse time in Bruno Mars’ seemingly meteoric rise. In addition to contributing to the successful first single of his Atlanta-native Atlantic labelmate, B.o.B., Mars appears on Travie McCoy’s chart-topper, “Billionaire.” He also co-wrote and produced Cee-Lo Green’s viral sensation, “F*** You.”

Mars’ first single “Just the Way You Are” from his solo debut, Doo-Wops and Hooligans has already made it to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album is set to drop on October 5. No word on any delays pending the outcome of his legal troubles.

His court date is on November 18.

Funny thing about success and the white devil that seems to always find its way into the affluent, successful, or pseudo-successful. Is it that much fun to piss away your light on a known bad. Is everybody else in the business having that much fun on it that you have to jump on the Rehab circuit to get ready for a comeback before you even get there?
