We know Baltimore loves their crabs....
On Tuesday, July 26 from 6-9 p.m., award-winning chefs from around the region will cook-off against each other in search of the Best Crab Dish, and bragging rights for the year. In honor of their second anniversary, B&O American Brasserie and the Hotel Monaco Baltimore will host its annual CRAB BASH chef cook-off benefiting the National Aquarium.
Each crab dish will be judged by both attendees and a panel of local celebrity judges including The Baltimore Sun’s Sam Sessa, Baltimore magazine’s Suzanne Loudermilk, Mix 106.5’s Jojo Girard and national food blogger and writer Dara Bunjon (of Dining Dish, Examiner.com, Foodservice Monthly). One chef will be awarded a People’s Choice Award based solely on the votes of attendees and one chef (or possibly the same chef) will be awarded a trophy for Best in Show by the celebrity panel.
For an admission fee of $35, guests are invited to watch the chefs battle it out, sample the chefs’ dishes, enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres from Executive Chef Thomas Dunklin and a complimentary cocktail created for the anniversary by Head Bartender Brendan Dorr. Admission also includes entrance into a raffle for a free night stay at the Hotel Monaco Baltimore. The National Aquarium's conservation team will also be on-hand to share information on sustainable seafood choices available in the region.
