B-weeks are a beautiful time to play my alphabet-themed dating game because B-dates are so bountiful. With the Boulder Bookmark Bible, you can pick any place in Boulder to enjoy a date, or you might venture to Broomfield or Brighton for B-fun.
There are bounteous B-activities as well including biking, baking, beer-drinking, or book-browsing. But how about this for a B-date? Imbibing in bottomless mimosas while brunching in the Bonnie Brae neighborhood at 730 South Bar & Grill.
OK, I know what you're thinking. 730 South doesn't start with a B. (Either that, or you're thinking this whole game is Bull!) Well, if you play this game well, you learn that creativity counts, and you see that a 7 and 3 next to each other do resemble a fancy-looking italic "B." Besides, we're talking double-B Bonnie Brae and bottomless mimosas. I'd drink those any day!
If bottomless mimosas aren't enough, there are three types of mouth-watering benedicts, among other choices on the brunch menu at 730 South Bar & Grill. I enjoyed the Veggie Benedict and my date had the Breakfast Burrito with no bullying from me to pick a B-dish. The venue, service, and food were all superb and I came away feeling quite satisfied. (I was going to say "bloated" but that wouldn't correctly describe the warm comfort of having just the right amount of delicious food in my belly, leaving me feeling pleasantly full, while not stuffed.)
Though we were too full for dessert, we strolled across the street to the Bonnie Brae Ice Cream Shop to browse and sample. I couldn’t resist buying some butter brickle ice cream to enjoy later, covered with butterscotch schnapps. All-in-all, a blissful B-date.
