“The Life of Riley” takes its name from the fact that King’s real name is Riley B. King. Directed by Jon Brewer, the film tells the story of King as an orphaned child, working in cotton fields and enduring racism and segregation, and his ascension to highly-influential and adored musician. Other musicians contributing to the film include Slash, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Walter Trout, Ronnie Wood, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Aaron Neville, Joe Walsh and Johnny Winter. The DVD and Blu-ray versions of the film will include concert footage shot at the Royal Albert Hall in London where Slash, Wood, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi and Mick Hucknall appear as guest performers.
