B.B. King, Black Flag, Euforquestra, and other concert announcements (Photos)

From B.B. King to Black Flag, this week has been another big one for concert announcements. Here is a look at the details.

Blues king B.B. King will play Prairie Meadows Casino in Altoona on Friday, May 24. The 8 p.m. show will be a 21-and-older event. Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Tickets for the show are $44 to $84, and they went on sale to Prairie Meadows Concert Connection members yesterday.

Crooner Paul Anka comes to Prairie Meadows on Friday, May 10. This concert will also be an 8 p.m., 21-and-over show. Tickets for the event go on sale to Concert Connection members on Tuesday, February 26, and to the general public on Thursday, February 28. Tickets will be $54 to $89, and they will be available through Ticketmaster.

Des Moines' Gas Lamp announced preliminary plans for their 2nd Annual St. Pabst Day event. The 2-day event will be held on March 16 and 17. $20 (each day) will get you access to all the entertainment, as well as all the beer you can drink. Saturday's performers will include Christopher The Conquered, North of Grand, The Magnolias, Mumford's, Gloom Balloon, Trouble Lights, No Good Deed, The Mittens, and DJ Richie Daggers. Sunday's performers will include DJ Eight Ten, Architects, the Hooten Hallers, and Disasteratti. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

First Fleet Concerts announced a number of new shows that will be held at Wooly's in Des Moines' East Village. First, the legendary punk band Black Flag has re-formed, and they will be coming to Wooly's on Friday, June 7 at 6 p.m. Tickets for the all ages show will go on sale Friday through Ticketfly and the Wooly's box office, and they will be priced at $25 ($30, if you wait until the day of the show).

Local rock radio station KAZR announced details recently for this year's LAZERfest. Wooly's will host the LAZERfest Battle of the Bands on March 14 to determine which area band will open this year's festival. The LAZERfest Battle of the Bands will kick off at 7 p.m., and will be a 16-and-over event. Tickets went on sale today, and they will be $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at the Wooly's box office or through Ticketfly online. Bands wishing to participate in the battle should submit their entry info by midnight on Sunday. Euforquestra will hold their "10th Anniversary and 4/20 Celebration" at Wooly's on April 20, starting at 10 p.m. Blue Martian Tribe will open the 21-and-over show. The Colorado bluegrass band WhiteWater Ramble will take the Wooly's stage on April 22 at 9 p.m. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday for $10, and they are available through Wooly's or Ticketfly. This will be a 16-and-over show.

Rising country star Corey Smith will play Wooly's on May 2 at 7 p.m. Tickets for this 16-and-over show will be $17.50 in advance and $20 the day of the show, and they may be purchased through the Wooly's box office and Ticketfly.

Finally, the Americana/folk/bluegrass band Cornmeal will stop at Wooly's on March 30 for a 9 p.m. show. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for $13. Tickets may be purchased through Wooly's or Ticketfly, and prices will increase to $15 the day of the show. This will be a 21-and-over show.
