Azealia Banks drops 'BBD' track on New Year's Eve

Indie rapper Azealia Banks gave her fans a New Year's Eve surprise when she released a song entitled “BBD” on Monday. The trippy jam may be included on her much anticipated debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste.

“'BBD' is NOT the first single from 'Broke With Expensive Taste'..” Banks wrote on Twitter, after releasing the song on SoundCloud. Whether it makes her album is still up in the air when she further wrote, “Y'all know i love dropping songs tho! Lol.”

“BBD” was produced by Apple Juice Kid & Sub Doodle. Over a shuffling beat with dark production, Banks raps about “BBD,” shorthand for how “bad b-tches do it.” She described the track as “trap, rave, Banjee, but still a lil' classy.”

With the new song out, Banks also shed light on her Broke With Expensive Taste debut, revealing that the album's first single will be called “Miss Amor.” It will be paired with a B-Side entitled “Miss Comraderie.” Broke With Expensive Taste will be released on February 13.
