Health is not so elusive as the mainstream medical community has lead us to believe. It is simply a matter of balance.
“As above, so below."
"As within so without.”
“No matter where you go…there you are.”
“You can run but your cannot hide…from your thoughts, from your actions, from your innermost intentions and core beliefs. When balance of mind, body and consciousness are cultivated and maintained…health is the result'.
Ayurveda has taught this for thousands of years. Perhaps society has come full circle and is ready once again to embrace the natural simplicity of ‘balance.’ Extremes in emotional being, extremes in physical practices and extremes in consciousness can manifest physical disturbances, AKA disease. Balance can be realized through mental and emotional techniques of “Inner self-management”.
The art of inner self-management can be cultivated with a variety of practices. Three of these are are referenced in Dr. William Tiller’s paper…: CONSCIOUS ACTS OF CREATION:
THE EMERGENCE OF A NEW PHYSICS* which can be found at www.Tiller.org. Dr. Tiller is professor Emeritus, Stanford University.
(1) Yoga –is the oldest and best known. It focuses on the brain in order to still the mind and then to make significant contact with our larger self.
(2) QiGong –is the next oldest, and the basis for all the martial arts. It focuses on the Dan Tien point just below the belly-button in order to still the mind and then make contact with our larger self.
(3) HeartMath –is the newest, which focuses on the heart in order to still the mind and then make significant contact with the larger self.
Finding that place of inner stillness is the first step to listening to universal intelligence…which leads to balance in all areas…which leads to health. It is ultimately a matter of balance
