Ayin Resh Yud - Absolute Certainty
What does that mean to you?
If I were to ask you what do you know with absolute certainty, how would you respond?
You might say you know you are a male or female, however, how do you know? Can you prove it? Theoretically, what if you have it wrong somehow and what we call men are actually women and vice versa? What about oxygen, you may say you know that you breathe it, yet how do you know? Most of us simply trust what a teacher or scientist or “expert” tells us. We have not done the research or studies to prove it. This line of questioning could go on and on and on if I really wanted to be picky. The point I am making is that much of what we base our lives on is a series of assumptions that we choose to believe.
In my previous article “The Audacity of Believing”, I delve into this interesting topic of beliefs by asking what do you believe in and why . . . in this brief article I simply want you to consider what do you know or believe with absolute certainty.
You may say you know you are alive? You are awake? You are breathing? What if you are dead and this is heaven or hell (go with me for a moment for the sake of this discussion)? What if you are asleep and merely dreaming you are reading these words? What if you are being breathed rather than breathing? I merely pose things to consider.
In Religious Science and many other New Thought circles there is some form of “Practitioner,” a person who knows the truth of a person or situation despite the surface or outward appearances. For example, a man loses his job and has fallen into a state of depression as a result of the economy and job market. The practitioner knows that despite this situation and the appearance of loss, distress, and pain, that the truth of this person is freedom, peace, and abundance. As the practitioner holds this higher consciousness of the person, the energy shifts and the person too begins to know it and the inner shifts so too does the outer. Realizing that the true Source of wealth, health, and joy is not in the economy, government, or any outside thing, the man realizes that the Universe or God is the Source and realizing this Truth, he then begins to demonstrate freedom, prosperity, and joy in his life as a new job, home, relationship, etc. are manifested in alignment with his newly raised consciousness.
So apart from the philosophical conundrum I began this article by asking what you know for certainty, I now return to the question from a different point of view. Assuming that what the ancient masters such as Jesus, Buddha, Rumi, Emmerson, Holmes, Fillmore, Cady, Yogananda, and more have said about us and our existence is true, I ask again, what do you know with absolute certainty?
Do you know God exists with absolute certainty? Do you have a spiritual practice that has aligned you with the Source to such a degree that you see, taste, smell, feel, hear, and know God to be the truth of all that Is? Do you have a sense that this life is not all there is? Do you feel with certainty that much of what organized religion teaches is erroneous manipulations of egoic outdated paradigms meant to keep the sheep in line? Do you know that you are free?
I selected the title of this article because of the new sense of awareness that I have recently come into knowing after the 12/21/12 shift. I came across the name of God in Hebrew Ayin Resh Yud
and began to re-read some of my old Kabalistic literature from my seminary and doctoral studies and I began to question what I know, think, and feel with absolute certainty. I then dropped into a state of being with this name of God Ayin Resh Yud, simply meditating on the name, chanting the name, looking at the name in Hebrew. As a result of this I came to the state of awareness that the human aspect of me does not have this consciousness of absolute certainty; however, the Spiritual side, the Higher Self, the God Self does in fact have this Knowing! That aspect of me, which is the True Self, It has Absolute Certainty . . . because it is the Divine Itself!
I therefore can rest assured, comfortable, confident, and safe in holding a belief that I, as a divine individualized manifestation of the One, am Absolute Certainty in consciousness and the more that I align with this consciousness, the more that I live, move, and have my beingness as Absolute Certainty while in the flesh.
I know this paradox of being human and divine is sometimes a challenging one; however, the more we meditate on it and simply allow it to be with us, the more we begin to sense the inherent oneness as truth and the paradox as linguistic convenience.
So just for today, simply be with the idea that you are perfect, you are God, and you are Absolute Certainty. . . You are the Divine Life Force moving in the current form you are in and that the more you align with this idea the more you manifest the Kingdom of Heaven in the outer experience of life – as above so below!
Now go live your life out loud and celebrate!
xoxo
