Axl Rose is being sued by an Australasian fan who claims he was seriously injured during the rocker's recent performance. MSN reported on Thursday, March 14 that the concert goer claims he was hurt when the Gun N' Roses singer threw his microphone into the crowd during a show on Saturday.
The alleged injured fan, Darren Wright claims two of his front teeth were damaged during the alleged incident at Perth Arena, and he has started legal proceedings for damages to cover the cost of his dental treatment, according to local newspaper The West Australian.
"With the bright lights and explosions, I couldn't see anything. The next thing I knew, I was whacked in the mouth. I thought I had been punched. I was quite stunned and it took a few seconds to realize what was going on. I could feel bits of teeth in my mouth. Then someone is climbing through my legs to grab the microphone. I don't think he intended to do it, but it came at me at a fairly flat and hard trajectory. Those cordless microphones are not light. I'm surprised it didn't do more damage. At the very least, I want someone to pay to get my teeth fixed."
After the incident Wright claims that Axl Rose's tour promoter, Andrew McManus offered to give Wright the microphone signed by Axl Rose. Wright stated, "In reality I don't think the microphone is going to fix my teeth or pay for the dentist. I'm a father of four on a single income."
The injured fan is requesting that Axl Rose pay the estimated $5,000 costs of repairing his teeth.
What d you think about Axl Rose being sued, should he pony up the $5,000 grand?
