Axe body spray, according to commercials, gives geeky men the confidence to get women, who cannot help but be irresistibly drawn to the musky smell. Kids and school officials at Medgar Evers College Preparatory School in Brooklyn saw the body spray have the opposite effect, as students were evacuated and even hospitalized after a can of the aerosol spray was emptied in a sixth grade classroom, reports MSN Now on Friday.
Emergency medical teams were summoned Wednesday to the New York City school and transported eight students to the hospital complaining of respiratory problems. The city’s Department of Education said disciplinary action will likely be taken against the student, who evidently sprayed the can as a prank.
Officials at the school on Carroll St. in Crown Heights said that of hose hospitalized, none had any serious injuries. Staffers at the schools said medical crews were called in because the "noxious and hazardous smell" could not be immediately identified.
While Axe products are supposed to have a drawing effect on the opposite sex, this time students were forced to flee from the smell. The only thing the noxious body spray attracted were paramedics, and the incident will likely also draw a suspension for the unnamed prankster.
