One of the biggest franchises of this console generation is the "Assassin's Creed" series. Split over four different time periods the series pits the Assassins, who wish for men to live in freedom from tyranny, against the Templars, who wishes to have humanity live under its guiding influence.
While the series takes place in the Middle East, Italy and the United States, series creator Ubisoft has always alluded to the fact that the Assassin's Brotherhood is actually global. Well, an intrepid artist by the name of ChaoyuanXu provided his unique perspective on the Brotherhood.
Mr. Xu painted a series of art that features a Chinese Assassin dressed in scarlet hood and robes. His character features the traditional hidden blades but sported on his back are two swords connected by chains. In keeping with the tradition of each Assassin putting his or her own unique identity on the robes, Mr. Xu has customized the robes for his Assassin to be in line with his Chinese culture.
Take a look at his art featured here. Be sure to also head over to his deviantart webpage to take a look at more of Mr. Xu's creations.
I think if Ubisoft need any ideas for a new "Assassin's Creed" character they'll have a great place to start with ChaoyuanXu's character. Thanks to All Games Beta for giving the heads up.
