AWE fallout, IWA MS failing and more

--Many people are lambasting the AWE PPV from this weekend for a number of no-shows to matches not taking place to the debacle of the Terry Funk v. Tommy Dreamer match and the bogus end to the Kevin Nash v. Ricky Morton main event. Funk and Dreamer were scheduled to go another 10 minutes but the referee counted the pin way too early and messed up not only that match but the momentum for the rest of the show. Nash and Morton was supposed to a tag team match but promoter Marvin Ward changed it to a singles contest that ended after Nash power bombed Morton and then left the ring after an uneasy promo asking Morton why he had a beef with Nash. I reached out to the AWE for comment but so far that has gone unanswered.

Some within the company say that the group is called “Mid-South” because they stay true to the Memphis style of wrestling which is an absurd statement. What is clear is the people who continue to support Rotten and his endeavors live in an alternate reality…
