QiGong is an Eastern meditative practice, similar to Taiji, but often done standing in one place. It is done slowly and with inner focus. The character for Qi in Chinese means air but is what Westerners usually refer to as energy, or life force. The stances and forms in QiGong help to balance and increase Qi in the body. Many people make it a practice of performing QiGong daily to help to maintain healthy emotional and physical stamina.
