New York’s 2009 Drama Desk Award winner Celebrity Autobiography is coming to New Brunswick when George Street Playhouse presents the hit comedy Friday, June 20 in two performances at 7 and 9 pm.

Celebrity Autobiography is the international smash hit comedy where outrageous and true celebrity memoirs are acted out live on stage by some of the funniest people in show business. Created by Eugene Pack and developed by Pack and Dayle Reyfel, the show is an evening of jaw-dropping, hard-to-believe vignettes excerpted straight from published celebrity tomes: from the “he said, she said” accounts of Burt and Loni, Tiger Woods’ “golf lessons,” the re-enactment of Geraldo Rivera and Liza Minnelli’s steamy courtship, Gwyneth Paltrow’s cookbook to a hilarious ensemble “playlet” edited together from the memoirs of the most famous love triangle in Hollywood history – Elizabeth Taylor, Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher. Audiences leave the show asking “Did these celebrities really write that?”

Other major characters featured in Celebrity Autobiography include: Beyonce, Michael Buble, Ivana Trump, Diana Ross, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Joe Namath, Tommy Lee, Dolly Parton, Ricky Martin and more.

The members of the very funny cast for this edition of the show are MARIO CANTONE (TV’s Sex and the City), RACHEL DRATCH (Saturday Night Live and Sylvia at GSP), Drama Desk winner and Emmy nominee EUGENE PACK, Drama Desk winner DAYLE REYFEL, Emmy winner SHERRI SHEPHERD (ABC’s The View) and ALAN ZWEIBEL (5 time Emmy award winner and co-writer of Billy Crystal’s 700 Sundays.)

The special event is being offered as a fund raiser for George Street Playhouse, currently in the midst of its fortieth season. All seats are $55, and may be purchased through the George Street Playhouse Box Office, 732-246-7717 or through the Playhouse website: www.GSPonline.org, or by visiting www.celebrityautobiography.com. George Street Playhouse is located at 9 Livingston Avenue, in the heart of New Brunswick’s dining and entertainment district, with abundant restaurants and plentiful parking, easily accessible by car or by public transportation.
