Aviva Drescher isn't mad, or at least she won't publicly admit to being mad, that her dad, George Teicher, secretly got married to the much younger Dana Cody. As reported by NaughtyButNiceRob on Tuesday, August 5, the "Real Housewives of New York City" star said that she's actually happy about her dad's marriage.

In a statement to the website, Aviva said that she definitely would have went to the wedding if she had known about it. She said that the marriage is "a great surprise" and that she's "so happy for them." Aviva's apparent delight over her 76-year-old dad marrying the 25-year-old nail salon owner in Malibu on Sunday, August 3, isn't all that surprising since she has been publicly supportive of their relationship. She even threw George and Cody an engagement party, at a sex museum of all places, which was filmed for the show.

In mid-July, George told Radar Online that Aviva was in charge of planning the wedding and had already started looking at wedding venues and wedding dress designers. All of Aviva's work isn't necessarily wasted now that George and Cody have already eloped. Aviva pointedly told NaughtyButNiceRob that George and Cody will have to have another wedding so that her kids can attend. Perhaps the second wedding will be featured on the next season of "The Real Housewives of New York City," if Aviva gets invited back?

Aviva also revealed how she learned of the wedding. She said that her father sent her a text when he was honeymooning in Hawaii with Cody. George's text stated that they decided not to marry for "showbiz [and] its accompanying notoriety, narcissism, fortune, [and] fawners" but rather "for eternal love."

After the secret wedding, Aviva Drescher's new stepmother addressed why the controversial reality TV star was not there. In response to an article that implied that Aviva wasn't there because she didn't approve of the relationship, Cody pointed out that no family members were present because they simply decided not to tell anyone. The big question now that's likely on many people's minds is whether the marriage between the two will actually last.
