Aviva Drescher doesn't think very highly of her "The Real Housewives of New York City" co-star Kristen Taekman. In her Bravo blog entry posted on Tuesday, June 17, Aviva dismissed Kristen as just a pretty face who been recruited into the "mean girls" pack, consisting of Heather Thomson, Carole Radziwill and LuAnn de Lesseps.
Aviva started out her blog by quoting Kristen's tagline, which the new housewife explained earlier in the season is something that she and her husband, Josh Taekman, like to joke about: "I may not be the smartest tool in the shed, but I’m pretty." Aviva wrote that when she first found out about Kristen's tagline, she was aghast because thought that she was more than just a dumb blonde.
However, as time went on, Aviva started thinking that perhaps that tagline did sum up Kristen the best. She wrote that Kristen's "pretty head" was easily influenced by Heather, Carole and LuAnn, the "self-appointed smart set," to attack not just herself but also Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan. Aviva even made fun of Kristen's "wide-eyed, gaping mouth look," which she said is "like Edvard Munch’s 'The Scream," but pretty!' Aviva doesn't think much of Kristen's husband either. She wrote that Josh is "her Neanderthal husband."
What exactly did Kristen do to incur such ridicule? The latest episode of "The Real Housewives of New York City" showed the group's trip to Montana. Prior to leaving, Aviva said that she wasn't going because of her bad asthma. Not surprisingly, given her past history of avoiding group trips, Kristen didn't believe her. Kristen still didn't believe Aviva when she produced a doctor's note and asthma medication.
As for what Kristen thinks of Aviva, she wrote in her blog entry that Aviva always seems to have excuses to not travel. She thought that it wasn't an accident that right after she invited Aviva to Montana, Aviva became ill with asthma, calling it a "classic cry wolf situation."
Unfortunately for Aviva Drescher, it seems that her non-attendance of the Montana trip upset not just Kristen Taekman and the other housewives but also the production staff as well. It was reported in early May that Aviva was removed from the opening credits for several episodes in retaliation for her not going to Montana.
