Even if "The Real Housewives of New York City" doesn't come back for another season or Aviva Drescher is not asked back by producers, fans may still see her on another show. In an interview with OK! Magazine, posted on Tuesday, July 22, Aviva confirmed the rumors that her dad, George Teichner, and his fiancee, Dana Cody, are getting their own spin-off show.
When asked if she knows anything about George getting his own spin-off, Aviva said that "there is a potential spin-off in progress." As for whether she'll be seen on it, Aviva said that she probably will be considering that she's his daughter. It's not clear from Aviva's answer whether she has already filmed any scenes with George and Cody for the spin-off. It was reported in late June that filming for the spin-off has already started.
In her interview, Aviva also talked about what may be the most anticipated moment of the entire season. As shown in the preview, tonight's finale episode shows that during a very heated argument in a restaurant, Heather Thomson yells at Aviva for not being real. Aviva yells back that the only thing fake about her is her leg and then slams her detached fake leg on the table, much to the shock of the other housewives. Since other previews for the season have show her leg lying on the floor, it seems that she also later throws it.
While many others probably consider what she did very shocking, Aviva doesn't find what she did all that disturbing. She said that at that moment, she was being attacked by three women, the three being Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman and Carole Radziwill, and so decided to use her leg to shut them up. She said that her taking off her leg and slamming it on the table was just like when people slam their eyeglasses during a heated argument. She also explained that whenever she sits down, she loosens her fake leg a bit to get the blood flowing.
Aviva Drescher even hinted that the leg throwing continues on in the "Real Housewives of New York City" reunion. That's certainly one way to drum up interest!
