Avicii announces a North American ‘True’ tour

On January 23 Avicii, the platinum selling artist most commonly known for mainstream hits, “Wake Me Up” and “Levels,” announced a North American tour which is set to kick off in Boston and make subsequent stops to major cities across the country in the beginning of April of this year.

The tour which is set to visit Chicago, Phoenix, Houston, and Brooklyn promises to “showcase an all new, world class production” and will be making further stops across the country that are still yet to be determined.

Avicii’s True’ tour will be featuring his most recent releases off the album True, including the global sensation of his first release ‘Wake Me Up.’ Reaching number one in over 81 countries world-wide and selling nearly 3.7 million downloads in just the United States alone, his first single has become a global phenomenon with over 245 million You-tube views for the music video world-wide.

True features songwriting collaborations with country-pop singer-songwriter Mac Davis and Chic's Nile Rodgers with appearances form Imagine Dragons, Aloe Blacc, Adam Lambert, and bluegrass singer Dan Tyminski as well.

24 year-old Tim Bergling, better known for his stage name Avicii, has reached international stardom as a DJ and producer in the electronic dance music industry. Being nominated for two Grammys, the artist has also been the only EDM artist to perform at Radio City Music Hall, selling out the venue in less than 2 minutes.
