From “Iron Man3,” “Thor: The Dark World,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and more, Marvel productions sure have been busy. All of these films will lead up to “Marvel’s The Avengers 2,” which on Friday, January 11, Joss Whedon told MTV he is just months away from wrapping up the script.
“I’ve done the outline,” Whedon tells MTV. “I’m writing the script now and so the script should be done in a couple of months. I’m pretty excited about it, I have to say.”
When asked how he plans to top the first installment, “The Avengers,” the biggest film of 2012, Whedon says, “Don’t go bigger, go deeper.” The filmmaker goes on to say, “All of these people have met, so you have that out of the way. Now you can spend your time just digging in – and by digging in, I mean with a scalpel, to cause pain.”
“Marvel’s The Avengers 2” is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
