Avalanche captain Landeskog ruled out of game against Oilers

According to Dailyfaceoff.com, Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will sit out of tonight’s (Jan. 28th) match-up against the Edmonton Oilers. Reports say that Landeskog is suffering from issues to the head and leg.

Landeskog took a big/questionable hit from San Jose defense man Brad Stuart in the Av's last game. He had to sit out for the remainder of the first period but returned to the ice by the beginning of the second.

Landeskog has one goal and is a plus 3 on the year. His lack of presence on the bench will be felt and it is unknown how long he'll be out of the Avalanche lineup, but as of now it doesn't appear to be too serious.

Avalanche fans and fantasy owners will hope to see him on the ice in the Av’s next game, Jan. 30th, against the Vancouver Canucks.

For now, forward Brad Malone will take Landeskog’s place on tonight’s roster.
